First Commission – Portraits of a Motorcyclist

In 2020 I had captured a few photos of my friend on his bike. Though they weren’t half bad, I shot them on my Canon T6.

Since making the switch completely to film in 2021, I have been interested in capturing all sorts of photos – including portraits. So when he hit me up again after getting his newer bike and asked me to capture some more photos, I jumped on the opportunity.

We headed out to the middle of nowhere – somewhere near Everett to start capturing some photos of him in motion while we still had some sunlight to spare. Afterwords, I wanted to get some photos at a gas station. But with it getting late and being let down by quite a few locations, we decided to head down to the waterfront in Seattle where I knew the neon lights from the restaurants and shops would create some great photos.

Below are my favorites from the shoot. Shot on Mamiya RB67.
